


The Bureau shared its experience with other regions in the implementation of institutional reforms
The Federal Ministry of Urban Development and Infrastructure organized a forum in Dire Dawa City Administration to share the results of the institutional reforms carried out by the Housing Development and Administration Bureau; the work done and the manner in which the work was conducted; the experience was shared with the Housing Development and Administration Offices of Oromia Region, Sheger City, Dire Dawa City, Somali and Harari Regions.
The Addis Ababa Housing Development and Administration Bureau has been able to record results in its work in all sectors. It is necessary to implement this experience in all regions to the fullest extent, said Honorable Helen Debebe, State Minister of Urban Development.
The results of the institutional reforms include making the provision of information faster and more efficient; The Head of the Housing Development and Administration Bureau, His Excellency St. George Wolde, stated at the forum that significant changes have been made in reducing theft and corruption and establishing an accountability system.
The Bureau, through structural reform, has established a bottleneck-solving operating system; modernized service delivery and created a comfortable working environment. Ato Abdisa Ararso, the Head of the Bureau, presented a document prepared on the activities carried out by the Bureau.
In response to comments from participants, he said that the changes brought about by the Bureau in the past years by changing the system and implementing institutional reforms will be a great experience for all regions and that we will take it and put it into practice.
